Not without receiving instructions from my mum via msn videocall, of course...
Actually, it is not as hard as I thought... :) Here is agak-agak the recipe that I used...
Ingredients A:
1/2 cup of prawns, peeled and cut into bits
2 tbs corn flour
a dash of salt
1 tsp sesame oil
1 egg white
Ingredients B:
0.5 pounds of ground pork
1/2 cup water chestnut, chopped into bits
3 tbs corn flour
1 tbs salt
2 tbs sesame oil
a dash of pepper
2 tbs light soya sauce
1 tsp sugar
Ingredient C:
云吞皮
Instructions:
1. Marinate the prawn bits by mixing them with the rest of ingredients A.
2. Marinate the ground pork with the rest of ingredients B.
3. After marinating, mix the prawn and the pork together using your hand in a mixing bowl in one direction, until everything is well mixed. (Apparently, if it is well-mixed, the whole mixture will become one big, sticky lump...)
4. Put about a spoonful (or as much as you like, as long as you can wrap it up) of the pork mixture in the middle of the 云吞皮,and fold it in half. Stick the edges up using water.
5. Heat up oil in the wok on high flame. To test if the temperature is hot enough, throw a small bit of the 云 吞皮 into the oil. If it floats immediately, that means the oil is hot enough. At this point, lower the flame to small flame, and fry the 云吞s until they become golden brown.
And there you have it! Ta-da!
