Here are some of my last few pots (i.e. the more decent looking ones):
This is made for Hazel and Kopi, as their Christmas present. :) It is their food bowl. Pretty easy to throw coz the walls are short. I learnt how to put in "throwing lines" at the base of the pot, which are the spiral patterns that you see.
I used three glazes (Auburn, Moody Blue, Whip White), and overlapped them to get six colours. However, the overlapped colours did not turn out as vividly as expected. Lucky for me, the guinea pigs didn't mind the colours... :)

For this pot, I tried a new technique for glazing: I painted two strips of wax resist down the pot before dipping the pot into Auburn, so that no glaze will stick to the painted portions. Thus, the colour of the original pot will show instead. (In this case, the pot is white).
I also tried to replicate the nice Auburn-Moody-Blue colour from the plate above. I did so by painting two strips of Moody Blue down the pot as well. But it didn't work! I attributed it to the glazing technique used. (Painting for this one, as opposed to dipping when I glazed the plate. Painting always seems to result in a thinner layer of glaze... Maybe must paint more times next time...)

This mug is made upon Shisheng's request. He wanted a big enough mug to make tea in his office. Sadly, the mug came out too small! Silly me, I forgot that pots shrink (significantly!) when fired...
There was another problem with the mug: The handle was attached too low, (lower than the base of the mug itself), resulting in a shaky mug. I had to grind down the handle to make it flush with the base.
Anyhow, this is my first attempt at making something with a handle... Thankfully it didn't fall off!

That's all for this semester! Can't wait to get my hands dirty for next sem! :P
