Foster piggie

About a month ago, we decided to become foster parents for a GP. So we made a trip to Dr Becker's house to pick up a piggie. And this is what we brought home:

Meet Dot Dot!

She is so named because she was really tiny (like a dot) when she came to us. Her weight was a little over 600g (In comparison, Kopi weighs a hefty 1.5kg... he is our prince in furry armour... hehe) Dot Dot now weighs a healthy 840g!

And we suspect that her rapid weight gain could be due to the fact that she is pregnant with baby piggies! Whoohoo! Technically, we are still unsure if she is pregnant, but Shisheng keeps on saying she has a "bulge", so from our very subjective point of view, she is probably carrying some baby piggies. Dr Becker says that if she really IS pregnant, we should be able to feel the piggies kicking her tummy very soon! How exciting!

As for the father of her piggies, apparently Dot Dot had a "live-in-boyfriend" in her previous home. He is black and brown, with some white bits. So we are expecting the babies to be mostly black and brown... :P Actually Dot Dot has just a speck of white right on the top of her head. (Shisheng says it looks like Rogue, from X-men... heh heh... maybe Dot Dot has superpowers that are unknown to us...)

Dot Dot is a super active piggie. She is around one year old, and loves to run laps around her cage. She even jumped on top of her pigloo once... (Well, it was actually Hazel's pigloo. Before Hazel left, Dot Dot was living under a Rainbow tent that we made for her. Now that Hazel is gone, we thought it will be nice to give Dot Dot the pigloo instead. It is time to move on...)

Dot Dot is a very fast vegetable muncher too. Stand too close to her when she is eating veggies, and you will get green juice sprayed all over your clothes. And for some strange reason, she eats quite a fair bit of newspaper too...

Over the next few weeks, we will be weighing Dot Dot frequently, as well as keeping a close watch on her "bulge"... Here's keeping our fingers crossed about the baby piggies!
