Another rainy night. Going to be a cosy night to snuggle up and sleep. But before that, a quick update on my recently-neglected blog:
1. Hazel
Poor Hazel is hospitalised again. She stopped eating on Saturday. We got anxious and called Dr Becker on Sunday, who kindly took a look at Hazel at her house, even though it was her rest day. She gave her some IV fluids, plus a painkiller, and Oxbow Critical Care powder for us to mix into mush and feed her by a syringe.
So, we brought her home. Tried to feed her. She liked it at first, but on Monday, we had to resort to force feeding, which she probably hates us for. Today, we tried to force feed her again, but she learnt how to spit out the food instead. By this time I was really kancheong already, coz we can visibly see that Hazel has lost some weight. So we called Dr Becker's clinic. Unfortunately, she was not in clinic today. We paged Dr Wolf instead. Jean the vet tech called back and told us to send Hazel to her house (coz apparently, their clinic is closed on Tuesday... but they still offered to look at Hazel, thankfully!) Dr Wolf gave her a short checkup at Jean's house. Seems like Hazel could be having a URI (she has laboured breathing) or a UTI (she wheeks when Dr Wolf presses against her bladder), and may need to do an X-ray. Whatever it is, she is definitely in pain, which explains her lack of appetite. Poor girl!
So, Hazel is still under observation. The X-ray results are not out yet. Will be waiting for a call from the vet's office tomorrow.
2. Baking
Baked a birthday cake for Josh and Linnet. (Yes, their birthday is on the same day!) Thank you Betty Crocker! Wanted to make the cake look colourful, but I don't really like those cakes with tons of icing on top. So I bought some M&Ms, and got Hannah to decorate the cake using the candy. She made a picture of three pretty flowers. But I suspect she ate some of the M&Ms along the way. (She claims they were "broken") Hehe...
3. Photos
Just saw a few of SL's wedding photos! She looks really beautiful in her wedding gown! So sad that I missed out on all the action. Haven't seen the gals for so long, so it is really nice to see their recent photos. PL with her tummy showing already, but still looking ever so radiant... S and WS so sweet together as a couple... All the jie-meis in their pretty dresses... :)

Yawn... time to sleep. I miss Chinese TV shows. Need my dose of Taiwanese TV shows. The funny ones. Yes, the Jacky Wu ones especially. Crappy, but effective in inducing laughter.
