Kris Allen won. We are slightly disappointed, but the finale show tonight was so entertaining, it actually seemed a little bit anti-climax when the results were announced.
Every segment of the show was enjoyable, starting with the usual introduction of the judges, but this time with a montage on the pet phrases each judge used. (Randy: "for me for you", Kara: "sweetie, honey", Paula and her extensive vocabulary, and Simon's "What?") That was hilarious. The scene where Kris and Adam had to turn the turntable for the Idol Award trohpy also made me laugh.
Other favourite moments included:
1. Allison and Cyndi Lauper singing "Time After Time" (and ending that song with a hanging note that leaves us just wanting for more... I thought that was a nice touch)
2. When Kris Allen's parents were interviewed. They seemed like such nice and sincere people.
3. When the Bikini Girl came out to sing, and Kara burst out singing behind her!!! LOL
I was going to label that as the highlight of tonight's show, until 30 seconds later, Kara did the unthinkable --> she popped open her dress to reveal her bikini! Haha... SS missed that moment coz he was doing the dishes... and we can't seem to find the video online... darn!
We had fun watching the show, with other big names like KISS, Santana and Rod Stewart.
Next up: So you think you can dance!!!
