A Quiet Christmas Day

T'was a wet and cold Christmas Day, and all the shops were closed. So we just stayed in and did a little baking for some friends which we are gathering with on Sunday.

These are Peanut Cookies from Lily's blog. SS selected this recipe because it is one of his faves, and also because it was relatively easy to get the ingredients. Very easy to make! In fact, I rate it as almost impossible to go wrong.

SS carefully placing the cookies into the containers. We preferred a crumbly texture, which was achieved by adding more peanut oil. Any rejects or crumbled cookies were delivered right into our tummies.

The cookies look much nicer when SS does the eggwash.

Under the Christmas tree: We bought some goodies for kids who may pop by our house. We got all these from our Chicago shopping trip at a Jap supermarket called Mitsuwa. I found my takopachi there as well! Yay!!!

Our Christmas tree this year... we decided to use the bronze baubles this year, but we didn't have enough. So we just pushed the tree against the wall and decorated the front. No one is really going to look at the back anyway.

We usually buy our Christmas ornaments after Christmas, so Winnie and Piglet have been in storage since last year. Press the button at the bottom and the two will have a conversation about the shooting star.

Kopi feeling really sleepy after busying himself the whole day with eating and eating.
