We started off with basic fried rice... This is our first try! Our mummies said the trick is to use overnight rice, which we did... we put in the egg first before the rice... for our second try, we put the rice before the egg, and it wasn't as nice...

Next... pizza! We finally used the gas oven provided in our apartment... it turned out pretty good! Very easy to make, coz we used premade pizza base. So we just dumped the toppings on it, and baked at 400F for about 20 mins...

And then there was our fried udon... another dish in which we just dumped everything we had in: meatballs, prawns, vegetables, crabstick, egg, etc... quite tasty... :)
And then, we went on to something a bit more adventurous: Curry chicken plus potatoes...
It was difficult to find the raw ingredients required, thus we used the next best thing --> premix! We had to fry the curry paste premix with coconut milk (have to buy the canned version, coz cannot find the fresh kind that we have back at home), and then add in the chicken and potatoes to simmer... It didn't taste like what we have at home, but we were craving for spicy food, and this was perfect to satisfy our cravings...

And then we had fun making mango chicken:
This came about because the mangoes we bought were too sour to eat by themselves, so we decided to use them for cooking instead... It turned out surprisingly nice! The following time we cooked this, we added cashew nuts, which added a nice crunch and sweetness to the dish... yummy!

I never thought I will say this, but cooking is fun!
