Wanying's soup bowl

My cousin Wanying made a bread bowl for soup, and it looked really good! So I asked her for the recipe (it is actually for a pizza crust) to try it out... and here it is!

Kneading the dough was lots of fun. And so was watching the dough rise. Maybe I sound like a kid, but it still amazes me to watch something "growing" from this size...

... to this size in about an hour's time.

From here on, the dough was punched (I gave it one BIG punch!), split into two, rolled into two balls and dumped into the oven. And when it was done (it did not grow very much in the oven :(...), I just cut off the top and dug out the bread in the middle to create a hole for the soup. The bread was denser than I though... I imagined it to be white and fluffy... hmm, have to figure out why.

The soup was a mushroom and potato chowder (Yummy, but wayyyy too heaty for a hot summer day). I also made croutons coz we had old bread left in the fridge. I didn't know croutons were so unhealthy, all covered in butter! Will be more concious of eating them the next time I go to a restaurant.
