With Joe Hisaishi again!
Was playing around with my piano (thanks baobei!) when I suddenly remembered that I used to play Joe Hisaishi's songs on the piano. Argh, but my book is back in SG!
For those of you who think you don't know who Joe Hisaishi is, think again. If you know Princess Mononoke, Totoro, Spirited Away, or Howl's Moving Castle, then you have heard his music.
Since I didn't have the scores, the next best thing is to listen to the songs. So we went to our best friend on the Net - YouTube, and here are some gems that we found! Take a listen!
Howl's Moving Castle - Main Theme
Summer -- Joe Hisaishi himself on the piano.
Princess Mononoke -- Using gu-zheng, er-hu, violin and piano as a quartet. Who would have thought that Chinese and Western instruments played together can make such beautiful music! Simply brilliant...
Ah I wanna go for a Joe Hisaishi concert!!!
Last night in SG

wooo thanks for listing the links, I am listening to Howl moving castle merry go rounds of life now...love it~
Hehehe yeah me too... *swoon*
And I find it mildly amusing that he has to run to and fro between the piano and the conductor stand, coz he is both the pianist and the conductor...
"In love"? "Swoon"? Okay, does Shisheng know about this?!
Haha... he did after you wrote your comment!!
Anyway, I seemed to have caught a flu bug as well... maybe you sent your Auzzie bug over through the Internet waves...
