St Patrick's weekend in Chicago

Apologies for the blatant neglect of my blog... Too many things have happened recently, including the demise of my Vaio... Attempts to resuscitate it have failed, so we are sharing one computer now, which is not too bad. I am trying to cut down on the amount of time I spend aimlessly on the internet anyway. Been busy filling up many application forms as well and keeping my fingers crossed. Lastly, we are moving to another apartment... lots of things to keep us occupied...

And spring is here! Wooohooo! More photos on that later.

We went to Chicago for St Paddy's Day last weekend. Had a great Irish-green time there.

Note the Irish green lights on top of the Wrigley Building. Incidentally, lights on the John Hancock Tower and other skyscrapers were also lighted green in the spirit of St Paddy.

One of the highlights of the celebration ~ The dyeing of the Chicago River to a bright Irish green. We were there to watch the river change colour. Photos to be uploaded in Picasa soon. (And those of you who know me will know that "soon" will take a while... :P)

The big parade! With my favourite frog, Kermit! Of course, anything that is green can be part of the parade, even if it has nothing to do with St Paddy whatsoever.

Shisheng and our friends did, but I didn't have any green clothes at all. Anyway, the weather was pretty cold, so we all had to wear our non-green jackets over our clothes.
