Drove to Dr Becker's clinic this morning to drop off Mommy and babies for their "matchmaking" session. A family is coming to see them at noon to see if they want to adopt them. The babies were a hit with the people at the clinic, coz they were sooo cute!
There were two other piggies which the family is considering are a pair of adult brothers, both with orange coloured fur. They look really adorable and chubby! It is going to be a tough choice...
At 2pm, I went back to see Dr Becker. The family chose the brothers over the babies, for a couple of reasons. One, they can bring the brothers home immediately, while the babies will have to wait till next week, when they stop having to depend on Mommy for milk (they were only interested in the babies, not Mommy). Two, the family comprises of four kids, and some dogs and cats, so the adult guinea pigs will definitely be "sturdier" pets to add to the family, as compared to the two little ones.
So I brought the piggies back home. Along the way, they were wheeking and wheeking so loudly, I almost could not concentrate on driving. (Is my driving that bad?) I had mixed feelings. A little disappointed that the family did not want the babies, but glad that I will get to spend more time with them.
