What to do with a wet bum...

There seems to be a problem...

Maisy's hair is growing back in full force now. As a result, the hair around her bum is really thick and bushy and almost dragging along the ground. And because of her pee, her bum is now perpetually wet. Shisheng quips that she has found a "natural defence mechanism" to prevent herself from being picked up by humans, coz now when we try and pick her up and touch her wet bum, we go "ewww...!" and put her back down again...

Sigh.

So now, the question is, do we need to bathe her or not?

Most piggies actually do not need to be bathed. And giving them a bath runs the risk of them catching a cold if their hair is not dried properly. (And looking at Maisy, I will say this is a huge risk...) Plus, we will need to go and buy piggie shampoo and a hairdryer.

Another thought: Maybe we should just cut of the hair around her bum... but we can't bear to cut her nice long hair and ruin her hairstyle...

In the meantime, we just grab a piece of tissue and try to clean her wet bum as much as possible. She hates it and wheeks through the whole ordeal. Until we think of something, it seems like this is the least we could do...

Mommy and babies are doing great! We were wondering if Huggies or Niblet is the big sister. Huggies is more independent and a little demanding. In fact, she has been snatching food from Mommy. Niblet is the softer and quieter one, and sticks to Mommy more. It is pretty amazing to see them grow up: I can actually notice the increase in size.
