Cutting it is...

It seems that we have to give Maisy a haircut afterall:

Otherwise, her hair may get all wet and knotty and all the hay and dirt will get trapped together with it, making a mess and a fine place for bacteria to grow, causing a nasty infection... :(

Sigh, I really don't want to hold a pair of scissors near a guinea pig, especially after the nail-cutting session last month... but I guess it has to be done... regularly too... (every 3 months...)

Thankfully, it is only Maisy who needs a haircut. Kopi, being an Abyssinian piggie, has short, neat hair in rosettes, so no trimming is necessary. (He does need some exercise though, our chubby little prince in furry armour...)

Kopi biting the cage furiously (gimme food!), while Maisy figures out how to place her mouth around the bars of the cage. She is still pretty inapt in the art of biting-the-cage-to-demand-for-food.
