We just shifted to a bigger apartment last weekend. Thanks to all who contributed their muscles and sweat! We couldn't have done it without you guys!
Apparently, Maisy doesn't like the new apartment too much. On Sunday, she stopped eating and stayed in her pigloo all day long. We have learnt to recognize such signs to mean that a GP is sick, so early Monday morning, we brought her to the vet.
As it turns out, she has a bladder infection, is very weak, and in lots of pain. She was given general anaesthetic and her bladder was flushed. The discharge that came out was rather bloody and thick. We had to leave her with Dr Wolf who would monitor her. Later that day, we received a call telling us that the X-ray showed a few small stones in her urinary tract. Poor girl.
The only piece of good news is that she can still pee. Right now, she is on antibiotics (and pain meds) for the bladder infection. When she gets better and stronger, Dr Wolf will then see what we should do about the stones. Hopefully no surgery is needed.
SS and I were half-joking that maybe the feng-shui in this apartment is not good for Maisy... Get well soon Maisy!
